Plengkung known as one of the best surfing beaches in the world and is located at coordinates S: 08 43 '57, 1 "and E: 114 20 '56.5" The "G" in "G-Land" derives from Grajagan, where the name of the bay large waves that are found in the south of Banyuwangi. It is surrounded by virgin tropical forest land. G youth offers the world's most demanding surfing sport, and recommended for professional surfers only.

May to October is the best time to surf. No doubt it is a world surfer paradise. You can go to G-land to make a reservation at the site G-Land Bobby Surf Camp , www.grajagan.com, you can choose two options of transportation, first directly to G-Land with Speed ​​Boat (G-Land Express) and two , by land (bus) to Banyuwangi and directly to National Park Alas Purwo, G-Land or cross the Gulf Grajagan to Plengkung beach where the waves challenge invite the surfers. In the 80's and 90's G-Land was considered a true hard core surfers destination, and taking a female partner let alone kids was not common place.

       During this past decade that has been changing more and more each year as G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp have been improving facilities and upgrading the food menu's every year. Dad can tackle the bigger more challenging waves out front while the family are frolicking in fun playful waves.

    Tigertracks also boasts possibly the most beautiful beach in the vicinity of G-Land, and is very nice for family to hang out and enjoy for the day.

For G-Land Bobby’s Surf Camp guests arriving into Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport, you have the option to use our VIP Airport Service and swiftly be escorted through the entrance process. G-Land Bobby surf camp offers free use of snorkel masks and fins for guests. Dive into tidal lagoon or if you prefer to go to a game where the waves and explore the mysterious G-Land reef which creates an amazing wave. See lots of fish swimming around the coral reefs and beautiful creatures.

Bring your spear gun if you enjoy fishing spear! There are some fish measuring about and interested in the good spear fishermen often come back with some great catches. Our kitchen staff will cook the fish for you and your table will be dining in style that night.

    Every month on the night of the full and new moons, G Land Bobby's Surf Camp hosts an Indonesian style dance party, known as 'Gandrung'. The Gandrung involves a traditional band that play their music all through the evening, along with a handful of beautiful local girls dressed in fine traditional costumes. These girls dance to the music, and all our guests are encouraged to go up and dance with a girl. It is great fun, and seeing some of the dancing styles of the surfers is always interesting. It is a great cultural experience, and many of the songs and dances have meaning to the local area. For where G-Land is located is considered to be a magical place.

      G-land surf is a highly sought by tourists, but g-land is also a quiet place to rest, especially the afternoon to rest while enjoying the beautiful sunset.

         The other way to get to G-Land is using G-Land Express. It is the G-Land Bobby’s Camp Speed Boat. The boat departs from Kuta Reef around 6 AM and take time around 2 hours depend on the weather. It will cost you from USD 100 to USD 180 depend on how many person in the boat.

 It was around 1972 that G-Land’s surf potential was discovered. And it was two of the first surfers to come here, brothers Bill and Mike Boyum who spawned the idea of a surf camp. Mesmerized by  G-Land‘s set-up from their first trips, a deep connection formed and the desire to make their jungle camping experience established materialized in 1976.

     It’s arguable that this was the first surf camp ever created. A Balinese friend of the brothers named Nyoman “Bobby” Radiasa was part of the adventure from the beginning. Since 1982, Bobby has owned and operated the camp, continually making refinements and upgrades to the facilities. His operational vision focuses on keeping the original dream a reality, but with more comfort and safety than before. Form more than 30 years the G-Land experience of great friends, great food, friendly service and of course wave riding bliss continues.
